Fury strong at All-star game...

The Mass Fury and the rest of the North all-star all shined on game night. Fury kicker John Carpenter started the night scoring off with a great 48 yard field. Carpenter connected on another field goal and 3 extra points to lead all scores on the night with 9 points. Jay Godino played mostly at RB and he led the North in Rushing gaining nearly 10 yards per carrier on the night. Jay made some great flashy runs that got the North sidelines in a roar. QB Ryan Minns lead the North down the field on 3 separate occasions, setting up field goal attempts and also connecting with Fury WR Matt McRae on a TD pass as well. LB Sean Suslowicz played at DE and had a heck of a night. He was in on several tackles and recovered a fumble as well. RT Kyle Mac played RG and kept the North Qbs safe all night, not giving up any sacks.
All our Fury players represented the team very well at the all-star game and really stood out in the North 27-14 victory over the South. So it was a heck of a night for the Fury team and here are a few video clips from the game.

Fury claw out win over Tigers

In the first meeting back in August in a fast and furious game, the Tigers edged out the Fury 37-30. This time around, the game took a whole new shape. Instead of the shoot out, it became a defensive battle ground as both teams went into the half deadlocked at 0-0. Tigers struck first blood after blocking a punt in the opening moments of the second half. After the score, the extra try failed, but the Tigers had the 6-0 lead. Later in the 3rd quarter, Fury QB Ryan Minns connected with WR Fran Collins on a 60 yard strike to set up a Pat Dibouno touchdown run. Kicker John Carpenter tacked on the extra point and the Fury took a 7-6 lead into the 4th quarter. A few series later, the Tigers defense capitalized on a bad snap and returned it another 10 yards for the score. Tigers then converted the 2 point conversion and went up 14-7. Again late in the 4th quarter with the game winding down, the Tigers were drive and down to the Fury 5 yard line. Tigers ran an option sweep, and as the QB was tackled, he managed to pitch the ball to the running back. But as the ball was in flight, Fury MLB Mike Colby stepped in front of the running back and with out breaking stride, rush 95 yards down field for the score. Carpenter then tacked on his second extra point try and the game was tied 14-14 and headed to over time.
Tigers won the toss and elected to receive, but after a few first down were forced to punt. DB Joe Okrah had a nice return and set the Fury up with excellent field position at the Tiger 45 yard line. After a few completions and short rushes, Fury was faced with 1st and goal from the 10. After a beautiful ball fake by Minns, he put the ball up for WR Matt McRae who made a spectacular catch to seal the victory and clinch the Federation Division Championship. Final score, Fury 20, Tigers 14.
